Newsome Farm provides affordable horse boarding at just $200 per month per horse, making it an excellent choice among horse boarding facilities. Please note that we do not allow studs or draft breeds, ensuring effective pasture management for all our boarders.

The amenities offered include pastures that are rotationally grazed and co-grazed with cattle, which is an essential part of effective pasture management. This practice helps manage grazing patterns and promotes efficient use of forages. The pastures are carefully managed not only for soil properties but also for forage quality and the variety of species present. Soil testing is conducted to ensure that the proper nutrients are supplied, which is vital for producing nutritious forage for all animals on the farm, including those at our affordable horse boarding facilities.

All of the hay that is fed to the horses at our affordable horse boarding facilities has been grown and harvested by the Newsome family, ensuring a quality product with the desired forages. In our pasture management practices, hay is fed in dry locations, and the pastures contain hay feeding sheds that provide protection from the elements for both the hay and the horses, while also keeping the hay off of the ground.

For those beautiful, sunny days that are perfect for a longer ride, you can trailer your horses from our affordable horse boarding facilities and travel a short distance to the Sauratown Trails, which is a 35-mile long trail connecting Hanging Rock State Park with Pilot Mountain State Park. If you prefer to ride a shorter distance, you can also explore the 100-acre farm on horseback while enjoying effective pasture management.
